1. Atlantic City school security could include more metal detectors
But there is more to school security — and keeping kids from a violent path — officials explain.

juvenile crime in the city,” Superintendent Donna Haye said. “We’re
looking at a more broad-based way of addressing that.” Source: http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/crime/outreach/possible-metal-detectors-in-all-a-c-schools-only-part/article_6d7a4b06-a0e1-11e3-987b-0019bb2963f4.html

3. New Hanover High uses metal detector at playoff game
The school opted for metal detectors, Athletic Director Keith Moore said, after a 15-year old student was arrested at the school while carrying heroin and a .22-caliber handgun during Monday’s victory over Ashley.
“We want to make sure that the safety of everyone involved is addressed and that everyone knows to expect this at the main entrance,” Moore wrote.

1. Lost Wedding Ring Set Found in Santa Cruz
First off this search came about by way of a referral, a friend had told the owner of the lost rings about me and the Ring Finders service. This is really nice to hear as it confirms that the general public is becoming more aware of us and what we do . . now on to the story. The owner had been at a local beach the day before and upon returning home discovered that both her engagement band and wedding ring were missing. After going through all the possibilities it was determined that the rings had almost definitely been lost at the beach and that’s when I was contacted. The owner’s father met me at the beach early to guide me to the area they had been in. I was pretty fired up as this would be my first search for a “double”, two rings lost at the same time. Living right or living lucky, I’m not sure which but within a couple minutes I got a low, “dirty” signal and reasoned that it was probably a bit of trash but when I looked closer I could see the solitaire diamond as well as part of the silver colored wedding ring poking above the surface ! 2. Minelab CTX 3030 Review
I’ll start off by saying that the Minelab CTX 3030 is a great metal detector. It is at the top of the range for a reason, and that reason is just how easy it is to use and how well it can find items of value. The only complaint I have about the CTX 3030 is that it weighs more than what I was expecting, but it is well balanced and so it just takes a little while to get used to. The other things I really like about this is that it is waterproof to 10 ft. (3 m), which is something that minelab have copped a lot of flack over in the past and that it has a GPS locator… The Minelab CTX 3030 is primarily grey with black and sports the minelab logo. The detector itself is reasonably heavy, but doesn’t feel overly cumbersome. The stock coil is great, but the real benefit to owning a minelab is in the large range of different coils that are easily interchangeable. Read full article
3. New coil… results
I recently got myself a second hand ctx from the states, sold my etrac to Max part of the deal was getting his 17 inch ctx coil. So first go with it was over at Waiheke, what do I think of it?, it is amazing at the beach the ctx is fast, the big coil speeds up the hunting process alot, pinpointing? a bit different, sometimes bang on, other times it gives two sounds for the one target .. is this with things on edge?, maybe. Anyway the pics are for the two good finds nice big silver ring , which cane up on the ctx like a really large silver coin, right at the top right of the screen.. the first time I have had a ring do this, must be the amount if silver. And gold number nine for the year a fairly big 9k with white and gold.. gold. Read full article
